Nice to meet you! My name is Yusuke Ishihara, a jazz bassist, and I have been performing professionally since 2004. I have been giving private bass lessons and ensemble lessons for over 20 years, and have studied with many students.

I studied jazz at Berklee College of Music and classical music at Toho Gakuen School of Music. I have been working as a professional musician for many years, and I would like to share the knowledge and experience I have gained from both genres at professional institutions.Bass Club"We have opened a new website. Yusuke Ishihara (Bassist/Composer)

At the age of 14, he began teaching himself to play the electric bass. After graduating from high school, he entered Koyo Music Academy and studied wood bass under Hatsumi Kamiyamazaki at the age of 19. While still in school, he passed an audition for a scholarship to Berklee College of Music.

In 1998, he entered the Berklee College of Music. He studied jazz bass with Barry Smith, Whit Brown, Paul Del Nero, and Dave Hollender, and received the Elvin Jones Award in 2001. He performed at many jazz clubs while in school, and after graduating in 2002, he continued to perform in the Boston area.

Returned to Japan in 2003. Moved his base of activities to Tokyo.

In April 2011, she entered the Toho Gakuen School of Music Diploma Course to study classical music. She studied contrabass under Masanori Ichikawa and graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music in March 2014.

Formed a duo unit of double bass and guitar, DUOSUKE, in 2015. first album in February 2016.Acoustic Sessionreleased.

In December 2016, he won the Gold Prize and the Soloist Prize in the Band Division of the 36th Asakusa Jazz Contest.

Formed Yusuke Ishihara Trio in 2019. They perform live mainly at Shinjuku PIT INN. The trio will release their first album in March 2021.Dig Into Jazzreleased.

Multi-bassist who plays electric bass, wood bass, and arco techniques. He has released two leader albums so far, including his latest album "Dig Into Jazz". He is active in his own trio, performing mainly at Shinjuku PIT INN and musical performances.
